The 34' vessel was built in 1946 by Seabrook Shipyard, designed by Henry A. Scheel. A contibution from Samuel A. Peck later sold to a private owner. Sold to John N. Matthews of Oyster Bay, NY for $1.00 (form for Coast Guard, actually paid $15000) 30 Sep 1957
